We Make Zines

Bird in the Hand is a zine shop located in Newcastle, Australia.  Bird in the Hand began in 2008 as a zine distro and labour of love run by zinemaker Susy Pow!  The project began to grow quickly and swiftly.  In May 2009 the project was given an opportunity to move into a retail space.  The retail space, provided by Renew Newcastle, has seen strong growth in patronage and sales in the short time it has been open.
